net start bits
net start wuauserv
net start appidsvc
net start cryptsvc

Step 5 – Reboot your PC and check if windows software is updated.

Method 3: Updating Software or Application

Just check if you have installed the updates from the website directly or from the Microsoft Store and follow the steps below:

Step 1: Since many of the applications have an inbuilt option for checking about updates, therefore, look for it.

Step2. You can go and check on the software website for the availability of the new version.

If you have installed from Microsoft Store, then follow the below steps.

Step 1 – Tap on the three dots in the top right corner.

Step 2 – Click on the Updates.

Step 3 – Check for the new updates, if available, download it.
