Method 1: Eliminating File Sharing Over the Internet
Since Windows’s internet-sharing feature employs multiple port ranges, not all of them will show up in Netstat or a similar programme, this one is a bit of an oddball offender.
Nonetheless, a number of customers have claimed that turning off Internet Connection Sharing permanently fixed the problem for them.
If you want to stop Windows from sharing your Internet connection with other programmes, you can do so in two ways. To the extent that different approaches work better for different people, go with those.
Turning off Network Sharing in Windows Control Panel
Step 1: You may bring up the Run dialogue box by pressing the Windows key plus R. To access the Network Connections window, type “ncpa.cpl” and hit Enter.
Step 2: Right-click the connection you want to modify and select Properties in the Network Connections window.
Step 3: Turn off the option to share your Internet connection with other computers on your network by going to the Sharing tab in your network’s properties screen and deselecting the box.
Step 4: Attempt a system restart to see if the error message disappears.
Inactivating the P2P Sharing Service on the Internet
Step 1: Simply use the Windows key plus R to bring up the Run window. The Services window will then load once you type services.msc and hit Enter.
Step 2: You may find the Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service inside the Services panel, on the right side of the screen. You should double-click it after you find it to turn it on.
Step 3: To disable Internet Connection Sharing, select the General tab in the ICS settings menu.
Step 4: Try to solve the problem by restarting your computer.
Method 2: By Disabling Or Whitelisting The Antivirus Programme, You Can Avoid Potential Threats.
Several customers have requested investigations into whether or not third-party security suites are interfering with SMTP connections. Several antivirus programmes, including McAfee, BitDefender, and Avast, have been verified to have restricted ports commonly used for localhost connections.
This is the expected behaviour for specific ports in order to protect against mass mailing assaults.
