Someone’s off to a fantastic beginning to the new year! Camryn Grimes (Mariah) of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Brock Powell.
Please join us in congratulating them! She posted a picture to Instagram with the message, “You and me, we’re in a club now,” quoting Ellie from the Pixar film Up. Then she added the heart emoji and the date January 7, 2022, indicating that she was engaged after he proposed. Then came the hashtag “#onlyupfromhere.”

Brock Powell Engaged to Camryn Grimes
The couple’s hands are in focus in the front, while her stunning diamond ring is blurred out of focus in the background as they share a passionate kiss in the first photo.
Powell’s whole Up-themed proposal, with candles, roses, balloons, and vintage aviator helmets, can be seen in the second snap of Grimes’ Instagram gallery. An other quotation from Grimes’s article says, “You will always be my greatest adventure.”
Powell has also acted in films and television shows, including Phineas and Ferb the Movie and Sherlock Holmes and the Great Escape, and on shows like TWICE UPON A TIME, ONE-PUNCH MAN, BAYMAX DREAMS, and MICKEY MOUSE FUNHOUSE.
Powell also posted the same two photos to his personal Instagram with the statement, “I have just met you and I adore you,” from Up. (a line from the animated film uttered by the dog, Dug.)
When Grimes first appeared on Y&R in 1997 as Cassie Newman, she quickly became a fan favourite and, in 2000, she made history by becoming the youngest recipient of the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress.
Fans were thrilled when Grimes made a permanent return to the serial in 2014 as Mariah Copeland, a lookalike who turned out to be Cassie’s long-lost twin, despite the fact that she had previously only appeared as Cassie’s spirit in the occasional episode after her terrible death in 2005.
Dating between Grimes and Powell began in March of 2020, but it appears that he couldn’t wait until their second anniversary to drop the question.
