In the world of BMX Freestyle, where Daniel Dhers competes, he may be considered an old timer, but he is still up there with the best of them.
The 37-year-old Venezuelan competes in the Nakamura Rim at X Games Chiba, Japan, against a 21-year-old Japanese competitor.
Many of his opponents admire and respect him, but they also recognize his danger. Dhers has experienced everything there is to experience in his field of sport.
The ‘Godfather of BMX’ has won five gold medals at the X Games since his first in 2007.
He won silver in the Olympic debut of his sport last year in Tokyo, something he never imagined he’d do.

Dhers, a US citizen based in North Carolina, is ready and willing to put in extra work to maintain her competitive edge.
