Is a Second Season of Rebelde in the Works?

The 9th of January, 2022, marked the renewal date for Rebelde. The second season of Rebelde has been officially renewed by Netflix. A premiere date of July 27, 2022, has been planned for Season 2.

Plot of Season 2 of “Rebelde”

Classes have resumed at the Elite Way School, according to Netflix Tudum. Contrarily, the norms from previous semester may not be applicable in Rebelde.

Similar to the season one finale, which featured the band Rebelde consisting of Jana (Azul Guaita), Estebán (Sergio Mayer Mori), Andi (Selene), Dixón (Jerónimo Castillo), Luka (Franco Masini), and MJ (Andrea Chaparro), this season’s finale also features a battle of the bands.

Mr. Bauman (Flavio Medina), the new director of MEP, however, prefers solo performers to ensembles. “My goal is to bring the MEP to the present,” he tells the class in the new Season 2 trailer for Rebelde.

In addition, The Grand Finale, the season one finale, will likely serve as a springboard for the next season’s story.

In order to make it to the final of The Battle of the Bands, The Nonames had to work around the clock to gather evidence that would expose the members of The Lodge, and fans got to see all of that unfold in this episode.

While it’s difficult to predict the exact plot structure of the upcoming season at this early stage, it has been speculated that the next season would pick up any cliffhangers and subplots and dive right into this world, giving fans something new to look at instead of the same old themes as in the previous season.

The reaction has been generally well received by viewers and critics around the world.
