Late in September, Kelly Clarkson shocked viewers of her talk programme by appearing with a black patch over her right eye.
I apologise if I come out as resembling a seafaring rogue. Now that I’ve injured my eye, I have to wear this crazy thing. Kelly’s joked with her guest Common this week that he was being questioned by a pirate.
She went added, “I just think I’m going to make it my thing.”

What Happened to Kelly’s Eye?
As seen on “California Live,” broadcast on NBC in Los Angeles, The Voice coach provided a bit more detail about the eye ailment that she has been dealing with. Apparently, Kelly is allergic to dust, and when filming the newest season of The Voice, something got in there and caused mayhem.
Maybe I sliced it, I did something,” a coach from The Voice said to the media. It became contaminated. It looked like Hitch, you know that movie?” Kelly reported, alluding to the 2005 Will Smith movie.
Initially, it was quite inflated, and I remember thinking, “What am I supposed to do?” I had to film The Voice for an entire day for a patch called Battle Realities while dressed in all black because it was the predetermined costume.

To what extent does Kelly’s eye patch prevent her from seeing? With Kelly having shot six episodes of The Voice while wearing it, and the episodes not airing in rapid succession, it could feel like a long time until we see her again. On Monday, October 19, a new season of the singing competition show will premiere, and the eye patch may or may not make an appearance.
