Can We Expect a Fourth Season of Lost in Space on Netflix?

Unfortunately, this is the final season of the sci-fi series, as Netflix announced in March 2020 that it will be the last. If we were talking about a network show, we may say that we hope a streaming service will pick it up for renewal, but when it comes to Netflix shows, once they’re binned, they’re binned for good.

At the time of the announcement, executive producer and showrunner Zack Estrin indicated that a three-year run for the interstellar family had always been the intention.

He elaborated, “From the very beginning, we saw this particular Robinsons story as a trilogy — A three-part epic family adventure with a definite beginning, middle, and end.”

“Considering everything that Will, Penny, Judy, Maureen, John, Don West, Dr. Smith, and The Robot go through in each episode, it’s only fair that they get a moment to relax before their next task. Not forgetting Debbie the Chicken, of course.”

What Do the Actors and Actresses of “Lost in Space” have to Say About the Series’ Conclusion?

The cast members have been having mixed emotions about the series finale because the show has been such an integral part of their life for the past five years.

‘Personally, I feel extremely bittersweet,’ Mina Sundwall, who plays Penny Robinson, told ScreenRant. “Also, I anticipate that fans of the show will feel mixed emotions when viewing the final episode. A bittersweet ending, bitter because it’s over yet sweet because of how it finishes. I felt completely fulfilled by it.

“The way Penny’s narrative unfolds and where she winds up is fantastic. I can’t reveal too much, but there are many things that fans have asked for and I’ve wished for her for a long time. In my opinion, we’ll all be rather satisfied.

It’ll be Sad, But Hopefully Everyone will be Happy in the End.

Actor Toby Stephens, who played the patriarch John, elaborated: “To me, it seems like the on-screen family you create during a project like this ends up mirroring your real-life family in many ways.

You’ve been seeing them regularly for five years, and when it ends, you feel like you’ve lost a step.”
