Microsoft Intune is a component of Microsoft Endpoint Manager that aims to provide a unified endpoint management experience over the cloud for mobile devices.
You will receive the notice “Your organization’s data cannot be pasted here” if you try to copy and paste information from Outlook onto another programme on your smartphone.
This is a standard function of Microsoft Intune and may be accessed using the Policy Management interface.
If you try to copy something to an unapproved app, you will see the error message. Your Microsoft Intune policies prevent users from copying data for safety reasons, and this behaviour is a direct result of those policies.
Despite the fact that this is modifiable via the policies, there are still situations in which you may encounter the warning while attempting to copy data to a legitimate app. Microsoft Intune allows you to tailor your organization’s data sharing policies so that only approved apps have access to sensitive information.
In this situation, the problem could be caused by an out-of-date version of Outlook on your device; updating to the most recent version should fix the issue. That being said, let’s get started by demonstrating the feature that may be customised to your specifications.
Method 1: Modify the Procedure for Moving Data in Microsoft Intune
We’ve already established that your Microsoft Intune policies are responsible for the aforementioned error message. This action is the direct result of the App Protection policy’s Data Protection setting.
If you disable copying between applications in one, you won’t be able to paste anything from one app into another. Because of this, you’ve seen the aforementioned error notice. However, this has no effect on protected apps, so you can still easily copy data between them.
For additional flexibility, it can be set up to permit data copying for selected applications. Here are the steps you should take to review your insurance coverage:
Step 1: To begin, access your Microsoft Intune control panel.
Step 2: Then, select Client applications from the menu on the left.
Step 3: Select App protection policies in the sidebar located on the Client apps screen.
Step 4: To make changes to a policy that is already installed on your device, select it from the list provided. Alternatively, you can click the Create policy option to make a brand new policy for this purpose.
Step 5: Under Data Transfer, you’ll see an option to Restrict cut, copy, and paste between apps.
Step 6: To make a new policy, you must specify information like the Platform. The option in question can also be accessed via the Settings menu > Data Protection > Data Transfer.
Step 7: After making your changes, select OK to store the policy.
After that, you can replicate data between apps in accordance with the policy setup you modified before. If you’ve made a new policy, you’ll need to give it out to the right people.
Make sure the app is up-to-date if you’re still having trouble after trying to copy data between two protected apps. Sometimes the problem is a Microsoft bug that can be fixed by installing an update.
