Is Season 2 of ‘Horimiya’ on the Cards?
The anime has not been renewed for a second season, and its comeback may be unlikely. The story was finished after the first season.
There were zero unanswered questions or secrets left to reveal. As there is no more story to tell, the show’s well-rounded finish may indicate it will not return for season 2.
And that’s not all: the anime has finally caught up to the manga’s storyline. The manga ended with the publishing of chapter 122 in March 2021, hence there is no longer any material for a new season.
The series finale was adapted from the manga’s final chapter, which focused on the students of Katagiri Senior High School on their graduation day.

When Might the Anime “Horimiya” Season 2 Be Returned To Netflix?
There has been speculation that the second season of “Horimiya” will not be produced. There is still a remote possibility that Season 2 may be produced, although the show has not been formally cancelled.
Season one began airing on January 10, 2021, and ended 13 episodes and 4 months and 2 weeks later, on April 4, 2021. Season 2 would likely premiere in 2022 or 2023 if it gets renewed.
The Second Season of “Horimiya” has a Lot of Potential, But What Exactly is the Show’s Plot?
Horimiya follows the relationship between the attractive and well-liked Kyoko Hori and the quiet and reticent Izumi Miyamura. Although they shared a high school, the two are very different people.
However, they carefully craft their on-campus personas to conceal who they really are beyond the confines of the classroom. While indoors, the bookworm Izumi dresses in a manner befitting a nerd, but when he goes outdoors, he dons a punk outfit, complete with piercings and tattoos. Kyoko, meanwhile, dresses casually and tends to her little brother Souta.
After learning each other’s secrets while hanging out outside of school, the two make a pact to keep the truth from their peers during the school day. The two started to feel something for one another as the story progressed.
In the end, they are able to admit to one another their feelings, and their friends are fully supportive. On the final episode, we see the two celebrating their high school graduation.

Kyoko and Izumi’s romance is likely to continue if the show is picked up for a second season. As of the end of season one, we used up all of the original content. If the anime is to continue, a new plot will need to be developed.
