On Monday, after a tough match against American Jenson Brooksby, Novak Djokovic became the first man in 52 years to win the US Open, Wimbledon, and ATP Finals in a calendar year.
Djokovic, rated first in the world, beat 99th-ranked Brooksby in four sets (1-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2) to advance to the quarterfinals and a replay of the Wimbledon final from July against Italian sixth seed Matteo Berrettini.

In the Beginning, I Won’t Lie, Things Weren’t Ideal.

Bencic, the 11th seed from Switzerland, defeated Swiatek, the defending French Open champion from Poland, 7-6 (14/12), 6-3.
And Raducanu, ranked 150th, dominated 43rd-ranked American Shelby Rogers 6-2, 6-1 in 66 minutes.
Following Estonia’s Kaia Kanepi (2017) and the United States’ Barbara Gerken (1981), Raducanu is only the third qualifier to reach the women’s quarterfinals at the US Open.
As the runner-up at the US Open in 2017, Zverev advanced to his seventh career Slam quarter-final and his fourth in the last five Slams.
After two hours and twenty-five minutes, the match ended after Sinner netted a forehand after Zverev had saved two set points on his service in the twelfth game of the third set.

Swiatek won their only previous meeting in the final of Adelaide in February, but Bencic hasn’t lost a set this week and has been broken only three times.
