The Art of Deception and Murder: The sixth season has concluded, and it did it with a bang. Unfortunately, the answer to the question of whether or not this convoluted show will return for Season 7 is no.

How to Get Away With Murder Renewed

ABC determined Season 6 would be the last, thus last night’s episode was also the series finale, and we won’t be seeing Annalise Keating again any time soon (Viola Davis).

How to Get Away With Murder Renewed

In July of 2019, it was announced that the next sixth season of How to Get Away with Murder would be the series’ last. It could mean death for some characters, while for others it could be a fresh start with much less bloodshed.

According to showrunner Pete Nowalk, “deciding to terminate this series was a difficult decision,” but “ultimately the story tells you what to do,” which is what happened here. “Annalise Keating’s story has, to me, always had a certain conclusion.

I am extremely thankful to ABC and ABC Studios for giving me the opportunity and the flexibility to tell her narrative in the next 15 episodes and to give all the characters their own killing endings, which is something that is rarely offered to a series creator.

Having worked with such a talented and dedicated cast, writers, and crew for the past six years has been the most fulfilling experience of my professional life. I’d also like to express my gratitude to everyone who have supported us. You guys are the reason we’re able to keep doing this show.”

Although we are saddened by the cancellation of Season 7, we are relieved that our questions will at last be answered.
